571

Dipped Goods (Industrial Glove)/Elasticized Concrete

571 is a medium solid content (50%), anionic, aqueous dispersion of a high gel chloroprene polymer whose vulcanizates exhibit tensile strength and has a slow crystallization rate.  Its main application is Dipped Goods (Industrial Gloves), for example in the oil industry, because of its high solvent, chemical/oil resistance. It has extremely tough film for barrier/insulation. It has a high cure rate and it is used in Rapid Setting Adhesives alone and in blends with 572. It is also used in Elasticized Concrete applications. It features high modulus/tensile strength. Also used in Coatings and general purpose industrial applications. Storage stability is good. pH decreases with time depending on temperature and air exposure. This decrease is indicative of structural changes in the polymer and alterations in the colloidal properties of the latex which are not readily measured. To keep changes to a minimum it is recommended that the material be stored low and temperatures between 10-40ºC, ideally between 13-21ºC with as little contact with air as possible.
