Elasticized Asphalt

Choose from our recommended Grades below

650

Binder (Sealant)/Adhesive/Dipped Goods

650 is a high solid content (60%), anionic, aqueous dispersion of a medium-gel chloroprene polymer whose compounds provide excellent flexibility. It is a high solid version of 750. Its primary applications are Adhesives, Dipped Goods, and Sealant. It is also suitable for Coatings, Elasticized Asphalt and Foam applications. It has an extremely slow crystallization rate and very high tensile strength. Storage stability is good. pH decreases with time depending on temperature and air exposure. This decrease is indicative of structural changes in the polymer and alterations in the colloidal properties of the latex which are not readily measured. To keep changes to a minimum it is recommended that the material be stored low and temperatures between 5-40ºC, ideally between 13-21ºC with as little contact with air as possible.

654

Binder/Dipped Goods

654 is a high solid content (59%), anionic, aqueous dispersion of a low-gel chloroprene polymer. It has medium tensile strength and high elongation. Its main application is as a Binder (fabric impregnation). It is also used for Dipped Goods (household glove) where high elongation at break is primarily necessary. It has high contactability and it is also suitable for elastomer-based Adhesives. It has low crystallization rate and low modulus. It is a softer, stretchier and tackier version of 671A. It can also be used for Elasticized Asphalt.

Adhesive/Binder/Dipped Goods

750 is a medium solid content (50%), anionic, aqueous dispersion of a medium-gel chloroprene polymer whose compounds provide excellent flexibility. Its primary applications include Dipped Goods (surgical gloves) as it provides excellent dexterity. It features excellent contactability (tackiness) with long open-time and it enables to lower level of tackifiers. It has  It is suitable for Adhesives (contact, pressure sensitive adhesives). It has an extremely slow crystallization rate, flex, excellent elasticity (soft), low modulus and very high tensile strength. It is also used as a Binder for non-woven fabrics. Other suitable applications include coatings, Elasticized Asphalt and PSA.

753

Dipped Goods/Adhesive/Binder

753 is a medium solid content (50%), anionic, aqueous dispersion of a medium-gel chloroprene polymer whose compounds provide excellent flexibility. One of its primary applications is Dipped Goods (surgical gloves). It has excellent elasticity (soft). It has low modulus at low elongation close to NR (RI) and it provides excellent dexterity. It is also suitable for Adhesive applications and Binder non-woven fabrics. It has a very low crystallization rate and it is accelerator -free (precured). It can be used in Coatings and Elasticized Asphalt applications.
